Chad Post
Partner / General Counsel
Chad is the Chief Operating Officer and General Counsel of CGB and its affiliated companies. In this role, he is integrally involved in the acquisition, development, redevelopment, and disposition of all company assets and the steering of all partnership structures.
Prior to joining CGB, Chad was an equity shareholder at the law firm of Baker Donelson. As part of his practice, he represented publicly traded and privately held developers in connection with the purchase, financing, mezzanine financing, sale and leasing of commercial real estate. He had an emphasis on retail, medical, condominium and senior living properties and represented special servicers, banks and financial institutions in the creative restructuring and disposition of problem loans. In addition to representation of real estate clients, he served as outside counsel to a Fortune 100 financial services company and a Fortune 200 technology company. Chad is also rated as AV® Preeminent™ by Martindale-Hubbell.
Born in Pensacola, Florida, Chad attended Birmingham-Southern College, where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science in mathematics. He obtained his law degree from Emory University School of Law. As an undergrad, Chad was an All-American baseball player and in 2007, was inducted into the Birmingham-Southern College Athletic Hall of Fame. He still ranks in the all-time top 5 in several categories for career and single season records.
Outside of CGB, Chad enjoys spending time with his wife and three boys.
